Creating a vibrant new heart for Swindon
In 2012, Forward Swindon embarked on making Swindon's centre an inspirational place for businesses to thrive and people to enjoy. This first phase – part of a £350 million flagship scheme that will give Swindon a new commercial heart – commenced in June 2012.
Setting high standards for Swindon's centre
Taking around 20 months to complete and valued at approximately £30 million, the first phase will deliver:
- an 850-space multi-storey car park
- 45 supported housing units
- 30,000 square feet of new office space, or a relocated Primary Care Trust, or hotel.
