Swindon town centre is bucking the national trend of declining footfall across the nation and defying the wettest June on record (since 1910) to show an increase of 7% footfall year-on-year. The findings from the National High Street Index for June from Springboard reveal that while the pressure continues for the UK high street (with footfall decreasing 5.5% year-on-year) Swindon’s high street enjoyed a buzzing month, despite the weather.
