The Circus is in town!

Regent Circus has opened to the public after much anticipation from the local Swindon community, with Ask Italian and Gourmet Burger Kitchen being the first to welcome customers earlier last month, followed by the latest addition, Coal last Thursday.

Coal Grill and Bar are delighted to be opening their newest restaurant and cocktail bar in the new Regent Circus development, which sees their Group portfolio rise to 10 nationally spread restaurants and is a welcome step for them into Wiltshire. This new opening created 30 full and part time local jobs, for the brand that features primarily fresh food cooked to order together with a well known all day cocktail offer. Coal will be open from breakfast until late in the evening.

The remaining restaurant units, belonging to Nando’s and Prezzo will celebrate their openings this week, on the 4th and 6th respectively, while the new Cineworld venue will host three special evenings this week; an exclusive evening for friends, family and Unlimited customers to preview the welcome hall and big screens, a Gala Evening and then it’s public opening on Friday evening.

Regent Circus is the new leisure development in the heart of Swindon’s town centre, connecting the Old Town with the retail centres and bus and train transport hubs.  Recognised as one of the most influential town centre development projects in Swindon in many years, Regent Circus has every ambition of becoming Swindon’s first choice for food and films.

The former Swindon College site is now owned by UK Commercial Property Trust (“UKCPT) and although privately owned, forms part of the  Swindon Masterplan, whose priority is to create “a first class town centre with excellent shops, restaurants and public spaces, which can be a cultural hub for the region” (ForwardSwindon).
