Enterprise Club

The Swindon Enterprise Club was set up to help unemployed people start their own ventures, by offering free advice and support from experts in commerce.

This free club, delivered by The Real Business Club ran from November 2011 – October 2012 and offered attendees the following benefits:

  • Understand what’s involved in starting and running a business.
  • Explore and develop ideas.
  • Create business plans.
  • Explore ways of funding the business.
  • Learn about finance, tax, marketing, business, support, HR and operations.
  • Discover how to start trading.
  • Share knowledge with other start ups.

In total 279 people attended the Enterprise Club meetings, with 29 attending 3 or more. During the period of the contract 12 new businesses were registered as a direct result of the support provided by the Enterprise Club.
